ABOUT CHEYENNE
Links and Other Information
Cheyenne is a community of 53,000 friendly people which services
an area population of over 80,000. Throughout the city we have great
schools, several parks, and many places of worship. Cheyenne
is the home of the Wyoming State Capital, county seat for Laramie
County, and the home of Francis E. Warren Air Force Base.
Every year during the last full week of July Cheyenne becomes the
host of the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, “Cheyenne
Frontier Days™.” During this ten day event hundreds
of cowboys and cowgirls come to Cheyenne to compete and thousands
of people visit Cheyenne to enjoy the rodeo, Professional Bull
Riders, parades, night shows, and free pancake breakfasts. These
and many other events make Cheyenne an exciting place to be during
late July.
We find Cheyenne a great place to live, play, and raise families.
There are many recreational opportunities in the area such as
golfing, hunting, hiking, fishing, boating, rock climbing, and camping.
Winter sports include snowmobiling, cross country and downhill
skiing.
